I am wondering if this could be of interrest? I see many modules that have some improvements potential when it comes to markup, semantic and css. This goes for both modules packed with Dot Net Nuke, and free and commerical 3rd party modules as well.
If someone makes the first effort on making a tutorial for xhtml modules I am sure many of the developers will take note and join in. With asp.net 2.0 out, there should really be no excuse to make xhtml invalid code output.
I am also putting togheter a team to rewrite Dot Net Nuke 4 to have valid xhtml code. Read more on that in this post on forums.asp.net If you have some time to donate, please contact me via forums.asp.net's email or pm function, I go by the nick trond.rud I reckon about 6-8 people would be able to rewrite Dot Net Nuke within acceptable timeline. Contact me now so we can make this a work in progress and not just posts on a bulletin board.
I have read posts on the forums that are more then two years old regarding css, xhtml and valid code. Still the framework is not there, true css in still hard. Lets make this actual work in progress rather then just sit around and wait for others to do it for us. We can manage this, in true OS spirit. No task is to big when we divide it into smaller fragments. |
